4 Reasons to Stay at Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa

In early 2023, Rowan (@rowanexplores) and I were hosted by Banff Lodging Co at the Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa, and here are 4 reasons why we think you should book here for your next trip to Banff

Reasons to stay at Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa

The Red Earth Spa

If you’ve never had a massage before, here is the perfect place to start. It is a full service spa, including hydrotherapy! If you book an appointment at the spa, and you aren’t staying at the hotel, you do get access to the hotels hot pool and exercise room. Rowan and I got a very romantic (in a completely platonic way haha!) couples massage prior to heading out for dinner, and it was just what we needed.

When you arrive at the spa, you are taken into a waiting area where they serve refreshments and snacks, and where they have their change rooms with housecoats and showers. Once you are all changed into the most coziest housecoat, you will return to the waiting room until your masseuse is ready for you. We were even given an option to pick out the type of oil we wanted to use based on scents.

Highly suggest adding this to your list of things to do in Banff, especially if you are going to be hitting up the ski hill.

The On-Site Restaurant - The Keg Steakhouse & Bar

This makes mealtimes beyond easy. There are 2 Keg Steakhouses in Banff - one downtown, one in the Caribou. They are open for both breakfast and dinner, and offer room service to the hotel guest.

Rowan chose the Prime Rib Sandwich (for only $22!) while I got a Caeser Salad with extra dressing. While in the restaurant, we decided to not get dessert, but after returning to our room we decided to order Cheesecake and a Creme Brulee - choices were made, and they were good choices.

One of Banff’s Pet Friendly Hotels

Although we didn’t have any furry friends with us, I think it’s important to point out that it is a pet friendly hotel! A lot of people I know want to bring their furry friends along for the adventure, and that is totally ok when staying at the Banff Caribou Lodge and Spa. Along with the hotel being pet friendly, so is the Kegs patio come summertime.

Here are a few more pet-friendly patios in Banff:

History is written on the walls… literally

Call us old & boring, but we spent our Saturday night wandering the halls of Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa examining all the old photos and their descriptions. Banff is filled with history, and there is absolutely no lack or difficulty finding out about it when you visit. Each floor is filled with photos with information for you to learn. I highly suggest spending a bit of time just combing through the hallways!
