Walk through downtown Ottawa — There are so many sculptures and monuments to be found around Ottawa. Your hotel should have a maps available with each of them pinpointed. If not, there are beautiful man-made maps around the city. I’ll post a picture below!
Explore the cafes and shops near/in the Byward Market — There are ample amounts of restaurants, cafes, stores & boutiques for you to pop in and out of in this area of town!
Check out one of the numerous museums or galleries — The Canadian War Museum, the Canadian Museum of Nature, the National Gallery of Canada, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, and so much more!

Once we landed in Ottawa, we were greeted with the water cannon trucks as we taxi’d into our gate; this was quite the experience!
